The Virginia Service Foundation supports the activities of the Governor’s Advisory Board on Service and Volunteerism. The purpose of the Virginia Service Foundation is to promote volunteer involvement, civic engagement, and citizen participation in the programs to serve the needs of the Commonwealth of Virginia and its communities.

Funds raised by the Foundation support the following programs:

  • The Virginia Volunteerism Summit
  • Annual Volunteerism and Service Awards
  • National Days of Service Mini Grants
  • Virginia State Service Plan Activities

The Virginia Service Foundation was established in 2007 and continues to be an active fundraising organization.

Board of Directors

The Virginia Service Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization, established in 2007 and operated as a direct support organization to assist The Governor’s Advisory Board on Service and Volunteerism in Virginia. The Foundation raises funds and resources to assist the Advisory Board in accomplishing its goals of supporting volunteerism and service across the Commonwealth. The Foundation’s activities are guided by a voluntary board of directors.
