The Virginia Service Foundation supports the activities of the Governor’s Advisory Board on Service and Volunteerism. The purpose of the Virginia Service Foundation is to promote volunteer involvement, civic engagement, and citizen participation in the programs to serve the needs of the Commonwealth of Virginia and its communities.

What We Fund

National Days of Service Mini Grants
The Virginia Service Foundation offers mini-grants throughout the year to support volunteer and service events or projects designed to engage communities in service activities in honor of MLK Day and 9/11 Day of Service. Learn more.

Virginia Volunteerism Summit
The annual Virginia Volunteerism Summit (formerly the Virginia Volunteerism and Service Conference) is the Commonwealth’s leading event for organizations and individuals making a difference in their communities. The Virginia Service Commission and the Virginia Service Foundation host the annual conference which features a diverse array of workshops, networking events and opportunities of service.

Volunteerism & Service Awards
Volunteers and National Service members are recognized annually through the Governor’s Volunteerism and Service Awards and the National Service Awards programs, supported by the Virginia Service Foundation.
Sponsorship Opportunities
